This painting is part of an in progress series I am creating on the theme of Vanitas. It will be a part of an exhibition at Gryder Gallery in New Orleans opening August 3rd, 2024.
This painting has a companion piece with a similar flower alongside a budding blossom rather than a wilted one. They are both the same scale and work together as a diptych.
